Johana Vizcarra
Johana Vizcarra is an accomplished dancer, performer, and passionate advocate for the art of dance. Honored as the Musa Queen of Rio de Janeiro’s Imperio da Tijuca samba school, Johana’s influence in the world of samba is undeniable. Born in Iquitos, Peru, her love for music and dance ignited at an early age. By just six years old, she won her first dance trophy, and she later went on to become a National Champion in Folk Dance from the Amazon, as well as an Afro-Peruvian dance champion.
With her deep-rooted passion for dance, Johana founded Samba Conmigo, a Dance Entertainment Company As an artistic director, she leads and inspires others to express themselves through the art of dance, continuing to elevate the cultural significance of samba and Latin dance in the world.
Beyond her professional life, Johana is a dedicated mother of two, balancing her thriving career with the joys of motherhood. Johana’s journey as a dancer and performer has taken her from the streets of Iquitos to the grand stages of Rio de Janeiro, and she continues to inspire others with her natural talent, determination, and unwavering love for dance.
